Christ the King & Thanksgiving Sunday

  • Northridge United Methodist Church 4210 Derr Road Springfield, OH, 45503 United States (map)

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Karen Crawford leads us in the final Sunday of the Church’s liturgical year. Thanksgiving Sunday, also known as Christ the King Sunday, is a significant observance in the Christian calendar. It serves as a reminder of the Reign of Christ and the authorities of the church, encouraging believers to give thanks for the gift of the church and the fellowship of the body of Christ. This day is often celebrated alongside Thanksgiving, a time to reflect on the abundance of God and to express gratitude for all that He provides. It invites Christians to consider how to celebrate the abundance of God while also acknowledging the challenges of distribution and inequality within the community.

We will Celebrate Christ as the King of our lives and the many blessings that He offers! We will also Say thanks to Him for life, love, and redemption!

Come and find Jesus for your life! Thank Him for so many blessings!

Our readings for the day are from: Psalm 100; Jeremiah 23:3-6; Luke 23:33-43; & Philippians 4:4-9.

You are richly blessed, AND…You are welcome here!
